Arupendu Gupta is a passionate Runner who believes in a holistically healthy, but also a practical lifestyle. Apart from Running, he enjoys Badminton, Basketball, Golf and Walking. He is a firm believer in the mantra: “Joy Through Fitness”.
Arupendu has been running for the last three decades but has got into recreational amateur long-distance running only since 2015. His running credits include a 12 Hour Stadium Run (84.7km), two Marathons (PB 4:10:52), six HalfMarathons (PB 1:50:20) and numerous 10ks (PB 46:52).
Arupendu is a member of Team Teevra and mostly runs with his Team. He strongly feels that running and other fitness activities are best enjoyed along with other like-minded people, exchanging ideas, views and experiences for mutual benefits. On rare occasions that he does run alone, he uses the time to think and introspect about various facets of life.
Arupendu enjoys preparing for his Runs systemically and subsequently improving his own performance. However, after twice being a Pacer in Bengaluru Pinkathon Half Marathon (2017 &2018), he feels that helping others in achieving their aims is a far more rewarding experience. He has volunteered to Pace in TSK 2018, as an opportunity to enhance his knowledge of this journey. He looks forward to giving the thrill of completing a 10k in 60 minutes to his fellow Runners at TSK 2018.
Arupendu is a serving officer in the Armed Forces and has served in various military appointments across the country.

Murli Manohar Mayank, an outdoor enthusiast and adventure seeker. He is passionately in love with fitness and gym. He has been running off and on my whole life but racing for the past one year and enjoy all formats of long distance runs. His passion took real shape during his association with our folks of ‘Kolkata Runners’
He loves the sense of freedom, happiness and accomplishment that comes with running. Nothing beats that muscle burn rushing through your legs when you cross the finish line or the positivity you feel when you finish a new distance or earn a new personal best. Knowing you’ve pushed your body to all its limits, both physically and mentally is what makes all the training worth it!
He loves the joy that comes with finishing the run he could ever think. In the past one year, he has run eight timed half marathons to include Airtel RFE Kolkata 2017, BSF half marathon 2017, Kolkata Police SDSL Half marathon 2018, IDBI Kolkata Marathon 2018, Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2018, and recently ADHM 2018 and dozens of 10k. His half marathon PB is 1:55 and 10K PB is 0:53.
His running philosophy is to enjoy injury-free running and personally challenge oneself to achieve new goals.
He is glad and honoured to be a part of the pacing team. Being a pacer is extremely rewarding and what an awesome experience to encourage, support, and motivate others in their running journeys. His Strategy will be very simple and would ensure all the passengers of his bus reach their destination on/before time. His plan is on having a fun race and party at the finish line after you crush your goal time! Dream Big!
Vinay Sharma is a runner by choice. Though his profession of arms demands a high level of fitness as such, running is both means of being fit and source of attainment of peace of mind for him. He indulges in cycling, swimming and gym to cross train on non-running days.
Vinay plunged into recreational amateur long distance running in 2011. During the past eight years, he has taken part in One Full Marathon (4:22:01), ten HalfMarathons (PB 1:48:11) and several 10ks (PB 45:11).
Vinay has been a member of various running teams at different cities during his assignments. He strongly feels that Running and other fitness activities are best enjoyed along with other like-minded people, exchanging ideas, views and experiences for mutual benefits. To foster the spirit of fitness and awareness among youth constituted the running/cycling group Malwa Riders. According to him, running gives him a high which no other can provide and takes him to a higher pedestal of refined thinking.
Vinay has been employing all available technologies and gadgets as an end to improve his running performance and keep himself constantly motivated. Off late he feels that it’s time to raise the bar and drive satisfaction through helping others in achieving their aims. Having learnt immensely from the running community, he has now volunteered to Pace in TSK 2018 to contribute and give back. He looks forward to the challenge and excitement of making his fellow Runners complete 10k in 75 minutes at TSK 2018.
Vinay is a serving officer in the Armed Forces and has the fortune of tenanting varied military assignment across the length and breadth of the country.
Dr Neelu Khanna is an Ex-Army officer who runs to experience a sense of physical and mental well-being. Running has changed her perspective towards self and life. It has given her given her self-confidence, self-belief and made her realize her own potential regarding physical endurance. She has successfully inculcated running into the lives of many students and colleagues while working with them as a college students’ counsellor.
She is also a keen cyclist and has recently won a Gold medal in Shivalik cycling race organized at Chandigarh. She has also been a second runner up in a cycling off-roading event and a runner up in Delhi International Duathlon.
She started her running journey in 2012 by registering herself for a 10k Trail Running & Living event held at Panchkula, Haryana. The experience left her with the desire to take to running more seriously and to explore the sport with zeal and enthusiasm. She has travelled to different destinations across India to participate in various Half Marathons. She has successfully completed ADHM, SCMM, AHM, IDBIHM, Wipro Chennai HM, Bhatti Lakes 20k, Tuffman Jaisalmer 20K, Kangra Cross country 20k and many more trail and 10k events.
Her PB in 10k is 1:08:30. She has paced in Dailyworld Marathon as a 2:45Hours pacer.
She firmly believes in giving what she has received from her running buddies in means of supporting and encouraging fellow runners to achieve their targets via pacing in an event or otherwise. For Neelu, running for a PB is a personal goal whereas to pace gives running a more holistic meaning.
Dr Neelu is a qualified Dentist who worked in the Armed Forces as a Short service commission officer at the rank of a Major for a period of 5 yrs. She later pursued a PG Diploma in Counselling and trained to work as a Counselor /Mental Health professional. She has worked with the Army College of Medical Sciences Delhi Cantt and is currently working in Command hospital Chandimandir as a counsellor.
