PRIZE MONEY RULES

  • Prize Money is applicable for the Open 10K Run category as per the rules given hereunder and Race Regulations. Click here to view Open 10K prize money structure.

  • Only those Open 10K runners, who finish within 1 hour 40 minutes from the start time and who fall within the finish positions as indicated in the Prize Money Structure, will be entitled to prize money in their respective categories.

  • Finish positions of the Open 10K Run age categories, as mentioned below, for prize money entitlement will be based on the net time alone.

    Age group: 15 years to less than 25 yearsAge group: 25 years to less than 35 years
    Age group: 35 years to less than 45 yearsAge group: 45 years to less than 55 years
    Age group: 55 years to less than 65 yearsAge group: 65 years and above
  • Runners crossing the start line after 7:30 a.m. will not be entitled to rankings or prize money.

  • While results declared on race day shall be ‘provisional’, in addition to the above, entitlement to finish positions and Prize Money winnings are subject to –

    • Bib tag timing captured across all timing points on the course, including at the start and finish mats, and

    • Physical verification and anti-cheat cameras, where applicable.

  • Runners found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or bib tag with others, will be disqualified from the competition. Such runners shall not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable).

  • Prize winners declared may be required to submit further proof of identity/age, as may be required by the Promoter, for disbursement of prize money, failing which the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, withhold disbursement or disqualify the said participant from competition.

  • Open 10K age category winners from overseas will receive prize money equivalent in U S Dollars calculated at the applicable exchange rate as on date of disbursement.

  • Prize money winnings are subject to Indian Income Tax Rules and the same will be borne by the winner. TDS percentages will be based on the rates and rules in force as on date of disbursement.

  • Protests and Appeals:

    • Any confirmed Open 10K runner of the Tata Steel Kolkata 25K 2016 can lodge a protest in relation to the official race results in relation to age category finish positions declared after the race.

    • The Protest Letter, along with a demand draft payable at Mumbai, of INR 1,000 in favour of "Procam International Pvt. Ltd." (Protest Fee) must be sent to the following address: Race Referee, Tata Steel Kolkata 25K 2016, c/o Procam International Pvt. Ltd., 14 St. James Court, Marine Drive, Mumbai 400 020.

    • Only the protest letters received on or before Wednesday, 21st December 2016, will be entertained.

    • A jury shall deliberate, verify and deliver its decision on the Protest within 7 working days of receiving the Protest Letter. Such decision shall be intimated vide an email to the concerned runner.

    • Where the protest is decided in the favour of the complainant, the Protest Fee will be refunded to such complainant, without any deductions, within one-week of the decision. Where the protest is decided against the complainant, such Protest Fee will be forfeited in full.

    • Decision of the jury shall be final and binding on all.
